From the 2024/25 season, all players are required to register themselves annually to play rugby within RFU member clubs.

Over 65,000 players have registered to play in 2024/25 so far and over 1,200 clubs have over 15 players registered.

How do I register to play?
Players will log into the Game Management System (GMS) and register themselves to play.

Most players already have a GMS account. If you cannot log in, support is available here.(opens in a new tab)

Players with an existing GMS account.
All players that have been registered in the past will already have an existing GMS account. You need to log into your existing account and follow the steps shown in this video (opens in a new tab) and outlined below:

Log in here (opens in a new tab).
If you were registered at a club in a previous season, you will have a GMS account but if you cannot log in:
If you know the email address your GMS account is registered to, but not your password, click 'Forgot password?', and enter your email address.
If you do not know the email address your GMS account is registered to, contact your Club Registrar who should be able to look up your email in GMS and provide it to you.
Click the 'Renew Registration'  button
Review the details of your Club Registration form
Click 'Save' 

Players without an existing GMS account
Players that do not have a GMS account will need to create an account before completing the registration process, as shown in this video (opens in a new tab). Then complete the steps to register outlined below:
Log in. If you do not know your password, click 'Forgot password?'.
Click 'Add a club' and search for your club
Select your club
Click 'Register' in the green box and fill in your details.
Click 'Save' and the registration request will be sent to your club for approval.

Note: Players that have played club rugby in England in any previous season are likely to already have a GMS account, created on their behalf in the past by a volunteer. If a player thinks this applies to them, they should follow the 'Players with an existing GMS account' process above.
